The Lorax Project

In honour of Earth month and as part of our Eco-Schools initiative, we are starting a new project at St. James called the Lorax Project.  Each class will be given a pledge form form to sign that states our commitment to the environment.  Students will also be given a pledge card to write their very own pledge of what they will do to help the environment.  We will then create a special display in the Learning Commons that truly shows how our school exemplifies stewardship of the environment.

Cleaning the Capital

Thanks to everyone for participating in the Cleaning the Capital campaign!  St. James Catholic School showed our community pride by helping clean the litter in our own yard and nearby parks.  Here are the top 5 reasons why you should be proud you participated in the campaign:!
  1. It’s good for the environment!
  2. Your community becomes a cleaner, safer place for your family, friends, neighbours and residents of all ages.
  3. It’s a great way to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
  4. It’s a great way to give back to your community.
  5. It sets a good example for all generations.
Way to go St. James!
